Manchester University will host its first ever esports summer camp this June, open to community youth.
Two camps are being offered: a day camp for rising 3rd graders and up on June 14, and an overnight camp for rising 7th through 12th graders on June 13-15. Beginners are expected to join the day camp, while the overnight camp is targeted toward moderate to advanced players.
Campers will learn the basics of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, while also participating in team-building activities, outdoor play, and t-shirt tie-dye. All campers are required to bring their own controllers, and overnight campers must bring their own bedding.
It is $40 for the day camp, and $110 for the overnight camp. Meals and free t-shirts will be provided.
Register for the day camp here and the overnight camp here. Registration closes June 7.
Manchester University’s thriving esports team recently placed 9th in the nation in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The University launched an esports management minor in 2022, making it one of the few schools in the U.S. to offer such a program.
